To celebrate the King’s Coronation, we ran a Coronation Competition on our social media pages, inviting four local primary schools to design a poster for us.
The winning artist was set to win:
- £500 for their school
- A £50 #shoplocal voucher for a store of their choice
- Their poster blown up to A1 size, and displayed in both our Teignmouth and Newton Abbot offices as part of our coronation decorations.
Our judging panel narrowed the hundreds of fantastic entries down to one poster per school, and then we posted these on our Facebook page for the voting to begin!
Our competition achieve over 1800 votes, and we were delighted to announce the winning school as Bearnes Voluntary Primary School, with over 630 votes at the competition deadline. (Though voting is now closed, the post is still attracting votes and Bearnes is now up to over 700 votes!)
The winning artist was Ethan, from Year 4, pictured above with Partner Solicitor, Chris Wills, accepting his winning voucher, along with the cheque for £500 for the school.
Congratulations to Ethan & Bearnes Voluntary Primary School on a well-deserved win! Despite being the smallest school, Bearnes rallied their supporters from far and wide, even achieving votes from people located in America, Sweden and the Canary Islands!
Fantastic community spirit!
