If you have assets or property you should think about making a Will now.

A Will gives yourself peace of mind: you know your wishes will be carried out.

You can appoint an Executor who will be ready to make decisions about your estate, making the process shorter and less stressful for your loved ones at a very difficult time. You can nominate Guardians for your children if they are under 16 years of age, and protect their future and make arrangements for any other family members or loved ones who are dependant on you. You can make decisions which could save your family from paying unnecessary inheritance tax.

Without a Will, your estate will be distributed according to strict rules – which could be completely against what you want. Those you wish to benefit from your Will could get nothing.
